Big leap forward from previous 3. My 320i averages around 40 mpg and will easily achieve 50 mpg on a long run. Very quiet with the double glazed glass and extra sound insulation. Plenty of room front and back and the boot swallows plenty of luggage being one of the best in class with "What Car" rating it as larger than both the rival Mercedes C and Audi A4. Acceleration is more than enough at 7.1 secs to 62mph which is quicker than the new 2 series with the same engine. I opted for the SE version which gives a softer ride due to non run flat 17 inch tyres and non-M Sport suspension. So if you want a larger boot than average, refinement and BMW magic this is the one to get.

Tight fit for 3 kids under 15 on rear seats, boot too small for average family shop.

Car for young people. Trunk is not usable for every day use

330e the hybrid battery has reduced the boot loading height space <350mm. It is very restrictive, even bags of shopping are crushed when loading bags into boot. There is no chance to place bike with wheels removed into boot. I can fit 1 large suitcase 120L only into boot. I cannot live with car due to boot. A hatch back mid range car is more practical if need load items larger than 350mm high.

The perfect car in every way for my needs. Not to big for London roads, economical, enjoyable to drive in town and on long journeys. No car I’d rather have except I now have to get rid of it. Thanks TFL.
